Three common components

Three common components

The same three components run every application John Deere offers. That means for a basic investment, you can have the hardware parts to run all the current GreenStar applications.

The components work together to create a fully integrated system, that you can tailor to your operation. And as GreenStar applications become available, you won’t need to learn how to use yet another gizmo; the same three components will work in tandem with the new software.

The brains of a GreenStar system is the mobile processor. This mobile computer attaches quickly to the back of the GreenStar Display. It logs field, crop, and position information to the PC Data Card when using mapping software. It also holds the KeyCard software for several applications, including Parallel Tracking, Field Doc, and combine yield mapping. Best of all, the processor can be moved quickly from machine to machine. mobile processor

The GreenStar display is simple to use. Menu-driven commands allow you to program information quickly. And the large display lets you readily view operational data while on-the go. The same display works in all your equipment – tractor, combine, self propelled forage harvester, sprayer, spreader (Axera from Rauch-Kuhn) and Gator utility vehicle. GreenStar display

The StarFire receiver. The dual-frequency DGPS receiver uses a 10-channel engine to pick up signals from Global Positioning System satellites and from the John Deere differential correction network. The GreenStar System uses these signals to pinpoint machine longitude, latitude, and altitude. Moving the receiver from one machine to another is simple. StarFire receiver

Information is stored on a PC Data Card(right) that holds up to 800 hours of data and up to 250 lines – enough for a whole season for many growers. Transferring the data to your home computer is simple. The software to run Parallel Tracking or AutoTrac comes loaded on a KeyCard (left). Just slide the card into the processor, and you’re ready to roll. PC Data Card

Proper function of John Deere products using the Starfire positioning receiver relies on wireless communication signal for which John Deere cannot guarantee.
