PowerGard (Comprehensive – full machine) Provides Coverage For:
- The entire self-propelled forage harvester, with the exception of the following items.
Excluded Parts and Components:
- Headers or attachments
- High-wear or maintenance items
- Batteries
- Tires
- Radios
- AMS wiring harnesses or AMS Hardware (PG available under separate contract)
Note: Non-John Deere engines (Cummins) are not covered under PowerGard Protection during the extended warranty period, but separate coverage can be purchased through the Cummins manufacturer. PowerGard Protection prices reflect this lower coverage and exposure on those models/series.

PowerGard for New John Deere Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters - Plan A
Protection Plan A is for new machines still covered under the John Deere basic warranty period. Customers can purchase during the Grace Period (first 95 days / 100 hours) for the lowest possible price. Customers can wait and purchase the PowerGard Protection in the Delayed Purchase Period (after the Grace period, but up to 12 months / 1000 hours (engine hours)) for a 20% surcharge.
- Protection Plan A – Limited (engine & powertrain) is available for new machines still covered under the John Deere basic warranty.

Eligible Models
PowerGard Protection Plan can be purchased at the time of initial sale or delivery, or up to one year or 350 hours into the Basic John Deere Warranty period.
