FRONTIER EQUIPMENT ADDS NEW MATERIAL HANDLING AND LANDSCAPE TOOLS

LENEXA, Kansas (August 20, 2009)— Frontier Equipment adds to and expands its existing product lineup with the release of several new material handling and landscape tools: LL12 Series Drawn Box Scrapers, the DT1136 Trencher, BB13 and BB14 Series Rear Box Blades, and RB21H Series Rear Blades.

Frontier's LL12 Series Drawn Box Scrapers are an economical choice for property owners to use when they need to level roads, repair field erosion, or blade lots. The scrapers are available in eight-, 10-, and 12-foot working widths and are compatible with 35- to 125-horsepower tractors equipped with at least one set of hydraulic couplers. Moldboards on the LL12 Series are made from ¼-inch-thick rolled steel plate. The scrapers also can be equipped to tilt up to six inches to the right or left. Operators can make adjustments with a manual turnbuckle or use the hydraulic-cylinder option to alter the position of the scraper from the seat on the tractor.

"Frontier LL12 Series Drawn Box Scrapers are a great solution for customers who need to level or grade portions of their property quickly and efficiently with a compact or utility tractor," says Michael Horrell Frontier Equipment marketing manager.

Frontier's DT1136 Trencher is a light-duty trencher attachment that's sized to fit select models of compact utility tractors. The DT1136 mounts to a tractor's 3-point rear hitch and has a PTO speed of 540 rpm. The trencher's chain cuts a channel six inches wide and up to 36 inches deep.

"The DT1136 Trencher works with John Deere 2000 Series Compact Utility Tractors and is compatible with Deere's iMatch hitch for fast, easy, equipment hookups. This trencher is great for plumbers and landscapers who occasionally need to dig small trenches or install underground sprinkler systems. As the trencher cuts through the soil, its 14-inch discharge auger pushes dirt aside, and prevents backfill from entering the newly trenched channel," says Horrell.

Frontier's BB13 and BB14 Series Rear Box Blades are ideal for light road maintenance, lawn care, gardening, and provide quick and easy grading for most landscaping tasks. The BB13 Series Blades are available in 54-, 60-, 65-, and 72-inch widths. The BB14 Series Box Blades are offered in 72- and 84-inch widths. All six models are compatible with compact-utility or utility tractors under 80 horsepower and can be easily connected to the tractor's 3-point rear hitch.

Frontier's lineup of rear blades also continues to grow with the addition of the medium-duty RB21H Series Rear Blades. Property owners can use these medium-duty blades year round for light-duty road maintenance, landscape projects, roadside clearing, and snow removal. The RB21H Series features hydraulically adjustable blades that are available in five-, six-, seven-, and eight-foot widths and connect to a tractor's Category 1 3-point rear hitch. Plus, they're iMatch compatible. RB21H Series Rear Blades are an ideal match for two-wheel-drive tractors up to 50 PTO horsepower, and four-wheel-drive tractors up to 45 PTO horsepower that are equipped with at least one set of hydraulic couplers.

"Operators can use the hydraulic cylinder to make blade-angle adjustments in either direction, on the go, from the seat of the tractor. Since operators don't have to stop and dismount from the tractor to manually make an adjustment it saves them time and effort while they work," explains Horrell.
