Somero Enterprises' SXP-D Laser Screed The John Deere worldwide dealer network was another important consideration in Somero Enterprises' decision to switch to John Deere. "Concrete is a perishable commodity and contractors can't afford downtime. That makes reliable product field support essential, including the engines in our machines," says Jim Desrochers, Somero's vice president of operations. "We believe the worldwide service John Deere can provide and several features of the John Deere engine will be important competitive advantages for us."

Tesmec's new control system While developing a new control system, Tesmec SpA took the opportunity to equip the AFB506s with a new type of engine. "For some time, I had wanted to switch to John Deere and this was an excellent moment to do so," says Paolo Celeri, business development manager for Tesmec. "John Deere distributor Rama Motori S.p.A recommended the 4045H line-up (PowerTech E and Plus models) and delivered the engines very rapidly. Installation was a breeze; the 4045H's electronic controls synchronized perfectly with our new system. Currently, the project is in full flow and the system has already proven very efficient."

Advantage Machine and Hydraulic's Post Installer "We work our units awfully, awfully hard with the pounding and beating all day long," says Carl Stewart of Advantage Marchine and Hydraulic. "But we haven't had one problem with the John Deere engines. They don't overheat, and they don't leak oil, which is huge when you put new guardrail on brand new asphalt."
